Africa United


On paper Africa United doesn’t work: just think about a kids movie where a group of children are travelling across Africa to make it to the World Cup in South Africa. On their way they deal with among other things; HIV, child soldiers and of course, the wilderness of Africa itself. Think how you could turn all of that into a heart-warming tale of going for the dream through impossible odds, all the while trying to keep it funny, tense and child friendly. It’s a balancing act for certain, and in the end, is Africa United accessible enough for its target audience?
